Not surprising that 1.22500 was reached today which is exactly the hallway mark of the 1st Quarter. 1.22500 is also the hallway mark between major levels 1.20000 and 1.250000. Coincidence - Yes, No?. I have observed this on a couple of occasions now
A weekly break above 1.23500 sets the tone for 1.25000 or even 1.2750 in the 2nd half of the 1st Qtr.
A weekly break below 1.20000 sets the tone for 1.17500 or 1.150000.
Today's trade locked at Break even and some.

CPI

Very messy price feeds post CPI .
Personally I feel we see USD lower / equities higher once the dust has settled, as the figure was still lower than previous (6.4 vs 6.5) and also it wasn’t the same level of beat as NFP’s were.

H1 on USD/JPY confirmed Long and was right.

Although figures are lower, but not at the lower pace. sp core CPI MOM was same as previous month and higher than two months before reading.
This changed the sentiment and expectations are Fed could think 50 BPs rate hike as jobs and manufacturing data is still strong but inflation is not on the definite lowering path.
