Decent Daily candle so far, that decent that I started doubting my future Short trade..

Higher CPI should bring USD/JPY to 135 in my opinion.
Seriously people, isn't it logical that CPI comes out higher?

They gave all this Buy yesterday and today to get the good price to Short from right?

We will take 100 pips and say thanks. Maybe more, 1.193 is still left untouched.

Not today, of course. Until Friday in my opinion 1.193 is as good as done.

Nope!!
As we know nothing works 100% perfectly and all the time.

A same scenario with today, I have screenshotted on a US CPI day, that had destroyed SMC and is also the reason I started to record the validity of everything I use daily.

As we can see, the 4hr OB(Supply) has been mitigated by its wick ONLY leaving the unfilled imbalance (as shown in the above 1hr image) and according to SMC, the inducement need to be sweep and mitigate the 1hr OB which the CPI didnt care about

My positions on GBPJPY and USDJPY so far.

Went out for dinner after London close yesterday, so didn't manage to post these charts here.

I know there'll be questions: Will yen weaken so much that both pairs go against my direction? Sure. Do I concern? No.

Now, the key reason I went in with massive shorts, have to do with two things: 1/ volatility on JGB, hence possible repricing on yen; and 2/ the suppose weakness on Sterling in coming quarters.

On to CPI. I don't really care if it's 6% or 7% headline. The BLS, same agency that published NFP, now had a revised benchmark for their recent figure revisions, so anything is possible. I think the Fed had moved from core-PCE, to now core services ex-housing. You know where to look.
