CPI will up (> than consensus) with CPI m/m expecting 0.5% from -0.1%. Thats a quite big difference.

CPI that is not within expectations can knock out any kind of analysis.
I hope the CPI is out of expectations today so that the volatility is greater and I won't be trading it anyway.
Just follow the trend.

The trade 'right now' isn't about the currency pair as much as it is about the USDX and expectations of where it will go.
If people buy into Pat's theory, expectations should be for a spike up as fears of higher rates prevail.
Obviously from other posts in this thread, many people are not expecting this result.
Then there is also the reliability of any information published by the government and whether or not people will trust the data....

Regardless of what happens with US CPI today, I maintain my bullish bias on GU in the short term. I see momentum on the weekly which I like, so I'll ride it out.

- CPI below 6% - S&P 500 moves up by 2.5%-3%
- CPI 6.0%-6.3% - S&P 500 moves up by 1.5%-2%
