Interesting, care to tell us how you managed to get the positions of 2 banks and can you give us some details on their positions?
There are lots of "big banks" in the world, so depending on whether they are T1 banks and the size of their respective positions, "2 big banks are short the gu" doesn't really mean much, for all we know, it might just be 2 regional banks with 20 mil position each which essentially means nothing.

The 3 wave pattern in the B of ABC completed on nearly every pair i monitor, , i'am starting to believe the algo theory but then again it fits with elliott wave theory perfectly and there were no algos in those days.

Absolutely. latest estimates put forex transactions worldwide @ $7trillion/day and gbpusd is 11% of that, so $770billion/day.

Yes they most probably are short longer term, currently the up move is corrective, so either they have closed some positions and are aiming to sell higher , nothing wrong in being long short term so long as you get out early enough before the drop.

Perhaps more to the point (or not), is that FF retail stats show most traders have been long since last Friday and are now starting to short.
If and/or when we hit 1.22+ resistance region, I'll be watching to see if more longs start piling in before looking for signs to short again.
Then again, I have 't been watching the charts much nowadays due to work, so I might just miss it.
