Robinhood1, I'm not guessing. I follow science... The Law of the charts (The Dow Theory) + Fibonacci sequence (not much different than Tesla's 3 6 9- in my opinion)

Trader get restless and wanting to get into the trading bus now.

And the market cannot remain stagnant for an extended period of time, as market players need to make money, leading to a constant movement in the market, either upward or downward.
The magnitude of this movement depends on the time frame being considered.

The reason traders follow the trend is due to a phenomenon known as "herd behavior."
People tend to follow what others are doing.
Trading is not about predicting future events, but rather, it's about probabilities.
Since the market is made up of people, following the trend gives traders a higher chance of profiting.

If you are long 1 unit and short 1 unit then you don't have a net position. You only pay extra spread to do this.

Why do people think this is somehow a hedge??

I am not expecting much movement for the time left. Intraday I am holding some short positions from this London morning but will close and stay clear of the news. Mid term long position has been cancelled out last week.

I don't have any other if>then scenarios than ichimoku signals in combination with RSI. The timeframes M5 - D1 determine R/R.
In addition, ichimoku is not a leading but lagging indicator which means one often finds onself into trades very late.

Fundamentals indicate Dollar strength and Pound weakness and Powell might seek to give a hawkish demonstration today. On D1 the way down is open to 1.164 (fib 38) and 1.140 (fib 50).
