Bank of England chief tempers talk of a pause or pivot in rate hikes
KEY POINTS

  1. The Bank of England governor on Thursday talked down expectations that it is readying to pause or pivot rate hikes, noting that there is still some way to go in taming inflation.
  2. Andrew Bailey told CNBC that the omission of the word “forcefully” from its forward guidance was not a sign that “we’re done.”
  3. The Bank on Thursday voted 7-2 in favor of a second consecutive half-point rate hike, increasing the main Bank rate to a 14-year high of 4%.

Yes, that would be the 200-SMA on weekly. I would expect it to go up to 1.15, finishing the retracement that brought us down to 0.955.

Something resembling 2017 trend (in Fib levels left side of the chart).

I have closed the trade on USD/JPY. Yen seems to be the wanted currency today so I won't stand in the way anymore.. Will reload when the time comes, the rest of the 6 pairs are still going.
