From my recent experience in trading gold, u see bulls and bears fight very often in lower tf.

Supply and Demand / Support and Resistance is good enough for you to trade it, especially scalping. Take 30 - 50 pips.

And it tends to retest up and down a lot before major spike or crash.

Idk, any experts here? Oh and Elliotte wave doesnt work here. Barely works. Maybe sometimes.

I only scalping everyday, but only use H4 to scalp. I don't know how to find set up on LTF.
So , gold is difficult to trade ( for me as newbie)

From your statement above, it sound like very erotic erratic pair to trade.
UP ,.... down.... a lot, spikes...... then crash..... Wow.... not for newbie ( I'm Newbie).

It looks clean in H4 if you're going for trend trading.
Ranging scalp might be difficult in H4.

How do you even scalp on h4 actually. 1 candle is 4 hours. I've bern trying h1 and its doing a ok for scalps but definitely not h4 for me
