Looking at history from the end of the second world war until 2000, every time a country's leader threatened to trade oil for something other than the US$, that leader met with his demise.
In many cases, these leaders had been helped to get into office by the US.
China, Russia, India and Iran (mainly because of US sanctions) have started trading oil since 2000 for other than US$ and their leaders have not met with their demise.

Hi Kashif, you are right in what you say, but the 'cure' for me is not so much to close half the position and let the other half run, neither is it to open 2, 1/2 sized positions, although both ideas would work. My problem is more simple to fix than that, and it is my lack of discipline and greed, to be honest!

My entries are reasonably good I think, at least I hardly ever have to suffer much drawdown, so that part of my trading is good. My plan for 2023 is to target 20 pips every day and to compound the lot size to hopefully, build a nice sized account by the end of this year. 20 pips per day is achievable for me even though I can only trade for about 6 hours per day.

I have been guilty of being greedy and not sticking to my trade plan, and not sticking to the plan is very often an account killer. Most if not all of the recent trades that you have identified have had a TP that I think is well placed at a known S/R level etc, but the PA this week has been difficult to deal with because the London session is in that kind of mood recently! NY looks to be much easier to trade at the moment, but is not possible for me.

So how do I fix it?

Here is the answer that I have: To trade as I normally do and set my target as I normally do, BUT, if the PA gets to +20, then as soon as possible I have to bring SL up to cover +20 pips. Even if PA gets to just +25, I MUST bring SL up to cover +20....I must, must, MUST!! If PA tags my SL at +20 and then goes on to my original TP, then that would be a pity, but I have my +20 in my account.....so todays goal would have been achieved.

Trading for me must not be about getting the most pips, it must be about getting the required pips, day in and day out. Indiara must not be greedy!!

I have been in this position before, and I know my weakness and I know the cure, but I didn't follow my plan, which means that I have not got my weekly target this week and I easily could have done it!

So THANK YOU Kashif, you have reminded me of my weakness in trading, and from this day on, I will do better to follow my plan.

GU H4 short taken from 1.24141 area (Resistance zone ),
SL was 15-20 max ,
Currently Order protected by positive sl near 1.23700 area and got hitted ..
