The volume reading from your broker is ALL that you need. They have told you a lie from the beginning. Volume(quantity traded) is the most important element needed for correct analysis.

Everybody can see their broker volume, that much is clear. The secret to Volume Price Analysis lies in this: What was the VOLUME at key market turning points? that allows a trader to better identify the levels where the big boys were in the market. When the market returns to said levels, that is when we must be alert.

The big problem with volume is that we have no idea 'who' is accumulating and 'who' is distributing it.

Hi dantpm, I don't use volume in my price action analysis, because bullish and bearish candle formations more powerful. The Law of Charts (Joe Ross) attached will help you in that regard.

In forex, I think it's impossible know the volume, moreover I guess nobody have that data, but what I know, that it's Europe period only right now, so less players when US start will be volatitliy more volume

If I sell TESLA shares at $400 and then sold again at $300, what is my average selling price?

People don't buy and sell orders at the average price, they buy and sell at the market price. Volume impacts your ability to move an order and close a deal. Volume suggests stronger or weaker interest in orders at various prices.

The detail that is missing is who grabbed the liquidity. MM's, institutions or retail traders? The answer to this will suggest what you should do next!

This could also have been a fake break out designed to lure investors in so that the price can be forced down to trigger stop losses.

If you pull up a TESLA stocks chart for me now, the last thing I'll look at is volume. All I'm interested in is, when are price likely to get to the marked up price of $400, and when can I expect price to get to the discounted price of $300. In other words, the more powerful market concept still remains Time and Price.
