{quote}I would not have entered at 1.218X because I see that upswing as a rally, and that level is already retraced too far to be worthwhile. And trying to trade that rally via a smaller TF, say M5, was not possible because the low volatility offered very small distance to targets. And any target above 1.2250 would mean it is not a rally after all, so that would be an unrealistic target for me, anyway, seeing how I see it as a mere rally thus far.
Ignored
Let's view this on the H1 time frame. The 1.218X support had been breached by the bearish marubozu but price reclaimed ABOVE the support level.

My cumulative net volume for today is positive (excess buy orders) so I would gladly take buy positions at support levels.

The 15 min tf shows it even pristine clear.

Regards sir!

Just visualize only the closing price of each period or change from candle stick to LINE and you will see it clearly.

RemyLou, I was sarcastic bc I believe traders have a million reasons to take profit or enter counter-trend trade. But we can name these reasons any way we want. Here is the next potential stop-loss hunting.

{quote} Session Highs and Lows friend, time and price. Look, it's friday: Asia builds an intraday low, engeneering shortterm Liquidity for London. London takes out the Asia High (and the very obvious Yesterdays High), and runs down to take out the Asia Low (your Stops, that's internal Sellside Liquidity) 8:30 NY time (one hour before NY open) you enter a killzone. Price will start building after taking out the Session Low, and run the qual highs up there. If not today then monday to tuesday (pre-event). Time and price. Asia always engeneers...

Georginson, today is not so bad. I can make sense of it but in prior days I couldn't make decisions on the fly so I missed trades. It was frustrating.

The data that I am looking at shows the volume of trades dropping to 1/2 or 1/4 of normal. Any thoughts on how this will impact the close?

Trades off my monthly pivot at 1.21769 working out just fine. We do seem to be a bit overbought, nevertheless all trades locked in and lets see what next week brings.
Have a great weekend,
Cheers.

That is all well and good. But I said that for me, until evidence to the contrary, it is only a RETRACEMENT, and I normally trade continuations, not retracements. I also said that if I WERE to try to trade that retracement, I would be doing it based on how SMALLER TFs are building the H1, not by looking directly at H1.
