Plan for monday is .... maybe consolidate a little first and then another leg up to 1.21500-800 zone or more... gut feeling it will be a decent long daily green candle...... dxy has potential to go down and maybe test last week low....

Hello friends

I will start my trading year off on Monday just before Uncle Frankie session. I haven't looked at any charts until about 1 hour ago, but as usual, I will trade what I see.

It has been a nice break, my Mum is getting better and I look forward to a new year of good trading, good times and peace for the world.

I hope you all had a good rest and are ready for this years action. See you all on Monday

Hello Guys, the full Business of January is beginning this week for most traders and below are the major Characteristics of January...

✓Usually Moves between 400 - 800 pips;
✓Usually Gives both buyers and Sellers opportunities to 220+ pips to both sides (70% of January Months)
✓Usually trap impulsive traders with no stop loss in place...

Below are the simulated scenarios for 9th to 13th January
✓Expected range is between 250 - 350 pips;
✓Key zones are 1.2300 Versus 1.1700;

Cautious Bias...
✓Bias is Cautiously Bullish as far as price doesn't drop below 1.1985...
✓Bullish Target is between 1.2250 - 1.2300

Mini Swing Trade Set up and Plans
✓Buy from 1.2090 - 1.2030, Target 1.2240, stop 1.1983...
✓Sell from 1.2250 - 1.2330 Target 1.2100, stop 1.2410...

Second buy plans if stopped at 1.1983
✓Buy from 1.1805 - 1.1715, Target 1.1950, Stop 1.1680...

Note: I'm staying away from scalping trades as price is now in a break out region, I do rather go with mini swing in direction of the perceived trend...

Just on the 12 December weekly candle you highlighted, I actually traded that move, but for a different reason, looking left, there was a market imbalance that at some point was going to get filled. The prior weekly candles run-up suggested a fill was imminent.

dont forget the house of the investors hedge so to say from the chart you shared the highest from past trend is the Bulls, when ever the house hedge they make a way to close there losing position and the previling trend begin. Just my opinion

That was actualy my target (1) for my Longs.
However I did not see the Imbalance there, only the equal highs and it was obvious to me we gonna take them out.

However based on the chart if certain things happen i will follow.

H4 break of structure , then we need a swing correction which could be any pattern, flat, triangle etc then trend swing up.

The level I am looking at is 131.42
It is a H4 VAP demand, daily VAP demand level, 61.8% retrace from last 2 weeks high to low of just completed week and also the127% expansion level of the last down segment from the just completed week's high.

@coreg2004 please help us take a look at USDJPY and show us what you see.
