I never understand this crap. They all follow each other against Yen, but on some stronger moves only sometimes..

Its all down to natural adjustments. News only triggers but does not justify in my opinion. Fundamentals long term might work if you are good at it for big investors. My opinion.

don't look for basic logic in it. because there is none.

My NFP Friday Plan:

 

  1. Go Short B4 NFP, low lot size.
  2. If NFP first move is Down hold short
  3. If NFP first move is Up add-in to short.
  4. Assuming We get a Down trend.
  5. 10 min after NFP When the dust settles, if NFP number < 270k, reverse buy on Up Candle Closes, if in a downtrend.
  6. My Hypothesis that < 270k s priced in, due to todays ADP-Non Farms Result.

Hi, sorry for delay in responding.

I put the rectangles denoting near-term previous obvious fractal swing hi's and lo's, as well as fibs and trend lines on the chart manually, and adjust manually as price discovery takes place, but the pivots are automatic via an indicator, ie Dly pivot, Dly S1, Dly R1 etc...

You need to have a rules-based methodology. Those mentioned above are the potential supp/res factors I use and I look for confluence of in a rules-based methodology. I look at 30min+t/f's for entries against trend @ pot supp/res, and with trend @ pot sbr/rbs after a pullback, and have dedicated charts/a screen for potential supp/res factors on 1hr/4hr (always in view, with prev 30min sw hi/lo's where they are not a prev 1hr sw hi/lo - on my dedicated 1hr supp/res chart,) and dly/wkly/mthly - occasional view. I only look at my 5min and 15min t/f's in respect of potential supp/res factors (via my entry trigger screens always in view on those t/f's) in the 1min/15min/30min/2hr t/f combo -and- 3min/15min/1hr/4hr t/f combo respectively (because I have them on view across 6 screens,) for the hidden divergence entries into a 5min/15min (+) trend respectively, after shallow pullbacks to pot 5min/15min sbr/rbs with entries timed via hidden div/PA triggers on 1min/3min respectively. I do not use anything under 30min (displayed as described above) for entries against trend, and always preferably 1hr (+.)

Re the rectangles - they represent areas where there has been a fractal swing hi or lo - ie where there has been a recent imbalance of supply over demand (Swing hi) = potential res/rbs, [resistance becomes support,] -or- demand over supply (swing lo) = potential supp/sbr, [support becomes resistance.] The colours represent what t/f they exist on. So;

Light blue - on that t/f
Dark blue on that t/f, and tested and held as support or resistance at least once.
Light grey - the fractal swing exists on the next higher t/f also (so for 1hr, next higher t/f in this t/f combo is 4hr.)
Dark Grey - as above and has been tested and held as either supp or res at least once.
Pink - a fractal swing hi or lo on the t/f below that it is shown on - so on 1hr that means 30min for me.

The hollow zones are where the zone has been disrespected by price at least once.

Good night folks. Need some luck tomorrow! Longs to a battering on yellow sticker data. 12130 seems a long way away however seems to depend on MM. NFP tomorrow could take us below 118!
