This isn't about trading war stories, so I'll save my sorry tales of over 12yrs of grief, losses, desperation and just pure, authentic pain. Needless to say the lost relationships money costs sometimes.

Why not open an account with Oanda with 1 USD? You won't ever have a well functioning trading model until you made sure that it matches with your own psychological make up. The model has to be you. You will never get there without actual money on the line. It doesn't have to be your life savings to feel the rush of winning and the desperation of losing. You have to learn to tame those excesses not just be right mathematically.

Morning

I'll be more active posting trades when I see the opportunities but as it stands, i'm waiting for a break of 1.19 to the downside before getting involved in longs. The alternative is a break above 1.2120. I think the market is still prone to FOs currently

I think that will occur this week

The moves seem wildly exaggerated this month, December was quite predictable but proceed with caution trying to go against the order flow currently as you can get steamrollered

Mysterio, the Non Farm Payroll news release tomorrow may 'interfere' with the 1.19 price target (wreck it or support it)!

Forex trading has got to be one of the meanest and most difficult profession one can choose... The risk to one's mental health, finance and relationships is gigantic.

When I see new traders sounding so optimistic about the journey, deep down my mind I feel intense pity for them as they do not know what awaits them. It will take years of relentless efforts to break even from the losses and debt forex can bring, but the reward can be great also with high degree of consistency which is significant rarity.

You have a Gold in your wife that has stayed loyal to you in your forex ordeals, never ever let go as she is worth more than a billion.

We are provided with plethora of manipulated tools to work with, which will give temporary profit and when confidence in such tools and strategy is sky high, they will get manipulated and bring huge loss.

Forex is the more you look the less you see, predicting these moves will bring a lot of pain and misery as market makers have up their games of randomness to inflict more pain on retail traders.

Even money management won't guarantee profitability if flexibility is not applied... Being reactionary is a good start to journey of profitability if money management is applied side by side with it.

Another short cut is to find highly experienced traders and understudy them, of course there are some fantastic traders in this forum but without any doubt, Pat Chiko is the best I have seen in years, not forgetting Leon, Waveskierrob, Navk and Coreg...

A good mentor will reduce your exposure to fatal losses but at the end of the day, each trader needs to find his/her identity and note deeply in mind that this journey will take years to fine tune.

I've always looked up to you bro, but why you continously need to justify yourself and your analysis?
The real question we need to ask ourselves: why are we trading?
Ig to grow our account. As long as we are achieving our goal, anything else (whether it is honor or dishonor) are merely noises like the chart under 30mins tf which is meant to ignore!
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

G/M, yesterday's dly bullish engulfing candle has seen no upside follow thru (yet,) - in fact quite the reverse with a post fomc minutes sell-off after an initial rally into Asian, and then a continued early London session sell-off, price challenging a prev 1hr and the 4hr part of a prev 1hr/4hr sw hi zones (s) as I type this, = prev res = pot rbs.
