Look at USDX, EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURGBP together and you can see when USD is driving the move and when GBP is driving the move. The M5 from before LO is a good example today for the "power" shifts.

The 'disconnect' when 'something else' is driving 'the move' is very apparent. Any ideas for a trade that makes sense? Right now I am inclined to wait for another day!

At the M30 level, the pattern is to look down, lift and drop.

To me that suggests a big drop in the USDX or a greater disconnect with the GU and no news to drive the move. Do you have another explanation?

Sell in the direction of trend sentiment and value. GBP is weak right now. Sell before it regains strength lol. I sold gbpusd a long time ago. I dont dance with price in range. I just trade the value move down and relax. Im now selling cross pairs off the weakness of gbp. F*&^ pound lol
