{quote} I wish I was mathamatically able. But I wonder what the frequency of times is where the price leaves and RETURNS to the session opening line as per your gold chart for example?

You don't need maths, use the built in fib tool. Set at 3 levels, 0%, 50% & 100%

Frequency is easy to see, look for Doji candles on a daily chart, open & close of day should be almost the same.

What does happen frequently is previous highs & lows are visited regularly by price, now is that useful ?

Wow, I mean just Wow! You know I'm just going Wow.

I can't post on this silly site to a forum that requires yellow credentials.

This is a good one. This Etienne character is pumping out some great interviews.

Merry Christmas to All,,

My gift is this photo and what I write,,,,some will toss it aside as ah yeah ive heard this all before..I just want to make 25-50-100+ pips a day..
Tell me how to do that instead of this new age psycho babble...If you think that..then this is really for you,,,,,

Please understand one thing. The most important factor in trading,,,,
Your trading success relies on one thing and one thing only,,, YOU

Of course you need a method,,,you need risk mgmt,,, you need personal performance(i.e execution) etc etc
You need many things,,, and at the root of everything is You... Everything boils down to you.

You are in Control of All. When the market tried to shake you out it tests your confidence,,,
Stay strong and dont fold your hand... Accept the outcome. Whether it leads to SL or a TP,,,,

For no matter how good your method is,,no matter how good your risk mgmt. plan is,,,,None of that matters
if you arent in control of you,,You will still screw things up.

In my personal experience you should first start with building a method that had an edge in the market.
It is this that will then build confidence in yourself...and thats the primary ingredient of the YOU...
Is Personal Confidence,,,

It is your confidence that will let trades hit your SL as you know its just part of the game.
It is your confidence that will let your trades run to your TP.
It is your confidence that will not let the market shake you while it decides outcome.
It is your confidence that will get you thru drawdown.

So many things I think you get my point.

Build your method whatever it is...one with edge,,,one that will build your confidence,,,then build your execution skills with
repetition.... Build your Process,,,

SO once you have a viable method that gives you confidence, Focus 100% on your process of execution and trade mgmt.
Forget about outcome based goals,,, Your sole focus should be on your method and process based execution.
Let that build your confidence. Knowing that by sticking to your process you will achieve positive outcome.

Focused Practice with discipline,,,building confidence in your process,,,in yourself,,,to achieve eventually your desired outcome
The true question is not can you beat someone else,,,The true question is can you beat yourself,, can you be a better person.
Let go of your EGO and be a better person in all aspects of life and watch your trading improve...
That is the secret to your success,,,,,,

Merry Christmas Happy Holidays To All,

Kevin

No stupid questions For the sake of simplicity I will only discuss the 50%... I simply wait for the 1 hour equity box to close.
(The age old name for this is an Opening Range...some have put a new spin on it and call it a Defining Range.)
So we wait for the BOX to close..We then wait for price to hopefully retest "something" in the O.R. We want some confluences.
It can be the Equity Open the Daily Open,,It can be a FVG etc...etc...etc....and it can be the 50% mark...then I look for multiple
confleunces at those areas to pull the trigger.

Now how do you know if you should be long or short...The simplest is to wait for a break of the O.R. box...A 5m candle needs to close
outside of that box...That sets Bias long or short. Many times the market will just run once the box is broken..But often it will take a
breath and come back and retest a "level"... Really as simple as that. Best to learn one setup..study it..backtest it..trade it demo..then
eventually trade it live....

Study these charts and see the patterns,,,

Hi blue,
It seems that the time ranges for your box are different.
Sometimes it is GMT 9.30-10.30,Sometimes it is GMT 10.30-11.30.
