I would say...Lucky trade too.

Not sure if the sudden drop is because of the US PPI as I think US PPI is not that much correlated with its CPI and there is time lag between PPI and CPI. But it may alert market the US CPI result next week.

The data is benign at best! It is so close to the expected numbers and as the FED always says it is one data point at a time when they are predisposed to easing rate increases.

Yeah, I see that too.
Sometimes when I monitor trades, it spike up in the direction favored in me after I closed.
But I've learn to keep myself satisfied with whatever I had from the market and look for next trade instead of chasing it. Not running into FOMO anymore.
Yet I still doubt myself sometimes when I open a trade. Guess I'll have to try longer in my trading system and to trust them instead of doubting them.

Because MM says no. You'll get the shorts after a pullback or a break of high.
It has been happening these few weeks. Data was good but after the push it reverses and break the resistance/support before going all the way down.

My guess is that it really doesn't matter what the news is. Volume is less than 1/4 of average, if people are trying to short the MM will push the price up and if people are trying to long the MM will push the price down.
Right now IG Markets has investors short.
