... support encountered at top of what was a prev 30min sw lo zone, now a prev 1hr sw lo zone with close of the 1hr candle... 5/15/30/1hr all closed bullish on the hour, immediate upside follow-thru - price now challenging a minor prev 1hr sw hi zone = prev res = pot res.

Still don't understand what's wrong.
Live vs Demo, same thing.
Only things that's different is that I tend to hold demo for longer trades.

Reduce your lot size by 2, while increasing your SL in pip value by 2. This way your SL is less likely to get hit.
You can always close your trade in green even if TP is not hit.
Rest is your call.
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

I remember reading that there is a time delay on demo accounts, could that explain the discrepancy?

I tried trading it side to side it looks the same to me.
The only thing is the order in demo isn't registered and viewable by MM.
