There is talk about averaging in the thread and a good subject. So here is my take with a small example. See chart below. From experience I know that my first trade is usually my worst trade. In stead of taking a tight stop loss I let price go down to a more favorable position and I enter my second trade. This leaves me in a position to reconcile, gather and consolidate my thoughts as opposed to impulse or Fomo ( Fear of missing out) trade decisions. Price bounces up to the mid point of my 2 trades and I have an opportunity to close at breakeven. Since averaging can involve a couple of trades before the move happens I always recommend trading smaller in line with your risk. This is more favorable if you trade short, medium to long term trades. Scalps are usually best for small hard stop losses
since you are trading for smaller profits.

I think at the moment GU could easily drop to 1.18 maybe till tomorrow LO or NY session but will see how it goes. Also trying for a few pips UCHF long

On second thought, I may be near closing my trades on GU. WHY?
EURJPY seems to be acting like it's negatively correlated to GBPUSD

The thing is EURJPY is more like a Tripple A+ setup (PAT's phrase for solid setups)
That being said, I am considering closing my GU at 1.185288 retests. (Not the kind of profit I wanted, but better than -1)

I don't have to mention that I will be loading more on EURJPY instead.
