yeah mate! You know the £1100 I made over the last few days (Friday and Monday)? Well had to re deposit it to give me oxygen and add a short. My average trade is now at 11817 for b/e so will look for a huge drop target at a more achievable 11750

at the start of the day i had 130 $ in the account
lost them deposited 200 $ more

just now i closed a profitable trades with 150$ after good entry

I am glad you were able to hang on even if it meant re-depositing.

I am anticipating a reasonable close below the current DT.

silly thing is I added a SL last night on my long which was hit in the US to AsiaPAC time. Couldn’t then re enter long as the spread was over 10 pips. Woke up this morning wishing I hadn’t added a SL as i rarely do

Trust me, I know this situation too well bro. This is just one of the reasons I avoid SL.
I feel like it causes more harm to me than saves me.

Early Asia session spreads are crazy and I have no idea why. I feel like MM uses that to lure us all into day traders so they can better slaughter us DAILY.

Hope you find a better way around a situation like that next time

US Retail Sales
The market moves expected are as follows
On a miss, with retail sales below 5.9% y/y and 0.2% m/m, that should give the Fed more reason to potentially pause rates. That could possibly result in:

  1. XAUUSD upside
  2. S&P500 upside
  3. USDJPY downside

On a beat, with retail sales above 8.2% y/y and 1.6% m/m, that should give the Fed more confidence to not need to pause/slow rate hikes so urgently. That could possibly result in:

  1. XAUUSD downside
  2. S&P500 downside
  3. EURUSD downside

Of course, the market can always surprise in its reaction, so you need to keep that in mind. Also, watch out for revisions as well as the wider risk climate as this can also influence the size of moves.

More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

Here's my EXIT plan.

If daily fails to close properly below our current DT 1.185288, I will consider exiting with some BE. I added some barcoded/skyscrapers trades right at the TOP
