Will now wait for today's close to see an indication if I should be long or short. Though I read that GBP is bound for range trade this week.

i am aiming for 1.14500 but it could easily go to 1.15000 and 1.16000

Hi C, i only mentioned the gap for something to say.
Gap usually does close but price did drop down first, this would of screwed a lot of traders.
Having said that. if you had a long trigger you have better odds plus you can even let a trade run or add on.
I didnt , i just got a couple of pips. game,set,match,

hahah i am 500 $ + profit for today , and I didn't give up and contacted customer service about the 30 dollars of the Gap

That GU Buy I just closed is a good example of what we are talking about. I explain:

Originally I was going to set TP for 1.13950, thinking that price will close the gap and very likely to go all the way to the round number. Then I thought to myself, many times I have seen gap close (to the pip) and then reverse. So I decided to set TP for gap close. Gap closed (to the pip) and price backed away. I waited a little bit, and on the next rise I closed manually 3 pips early.

SO closed and left 3 pips 'on the table'. If I have my TP set at 1.13950 I probably would still have manually closed where I did, which would have left about 30 pips 'on the table'....but I banked +63 (ignore the -12 from the first trade for now).

1. +63 is 3 times what I am aiming for, so no need to be greedy and risk all.
2. Pips left on the table will be picked up by someone else. Let's share the pips
