I think the saying is 'double edged sword?'...........anyway, I hope it's correct because I see the debate about making live posts a double edged sword. By that I mean if I post my entry live, not matter if it is in a chart or just as text, and then I post the management of the trade, and finally the conclusion of the trade, then the whole trade is exposed, win or loss, for all to see. It is 'real'....it is 'live'...it is 'honest'. The other side is a thread full of people saying "I just closed a 65 pips buy on GU, and that followed a 43 pips Sell on GU. So I have made 480 pips this week so far"

Which one of the above has more credibility? Do we want a thread full of fantasy trades? I don't know.

I just know that when I see all those sorts of claims, I just skip over them as they are just words with nothing to support them.

That's just me though, and I have been known to do some silly things before!!

One can make money in both buy and sell positions in the European's session today.

i dont mind helping anyone if and when i have the time and have done some zoom sessions with a few ff members. But i would never trade anyones account on any basis. People need to learn how to trade first before jumping in with real money

No matter how much all the books & resources of the world shout that you should respect the risk of trading & money management, we still didn't do it & learned from our many failures. This training process is for everyone and no one is exempt
Perhaps the beginning of success is from the loss of accounts

absolutely, unless pointing out something educational, a retrospective call has no value. I can see the argument that by posting a live call it keep's you 'honest,' and gives you credibility here, but I don't post any live trades, but I still think I am 'credible' by the quality of the info I do post. Actually it's your own P&L that will keep you honest, the rest is just ego maybe - it could be argued?

Thats how i learnt, by blowing multiple accounts. Its a hard pill to swallow but its the only way imo

I just asked a senior member (or maybe 2) what is the best way to handle the situation because I was unsure how to proceed. It's no big deal, just asking advice

I am a year old into the currency market so i consider my self an apprentice(For me that means imitating the masters like you guys who have been in the market until i figure out my own trading style)

I agree, you make a good point. I have seen posts here such as "I'm long on cable 1.xxxxx" <------ as if that has any value at all? Later another post from the same person says " closed long +76". Really? That's just noise to me. If the 'long on cable' turns bad because the price dropped 100 pips, we never hear from that poster again until the next fantasy trade.

Do you see what I mean?

Your credibility is not in question, or most others here who give great analysis.....which I wish I could do. But as I say, there are two sides to the question

This exactly happened to me once with a famous trader here.

I was the one copying his trade.

In my case, he traded UJ short, then when in loss, there was no follow up post from him.Of course, I do not blame him, he did not ask me to copy his trade.

When in loss, he or anyone will try to manage loosing trades. Forum is not effective media to copy trade.

For me UJ short trade hit stop loss.
