If you can't be honest with yourself - get help from a friend/relative...

Many thanks Sir David (ever the Sage). You have given so much,.. clear out your barns as what you sow comes back thousand fold(at least). Just don't know when and from what direction. That is where Faith in the Humanity of the receivers comes in.

Keep enjoying you and your hugely humble spirit. In my experience these have only been dwarfed by your skills and generosity.

A conceptualizer and a developer(purposefully avoided "Executioner") combined in a single person (with little or no narcissisms), is rare and so when one such as you emerges, you have to have the faith of the Lord so as not to give so/too much, without being emptied. We pray your continued Health, wealth and the years to enjoy them all. Please save yourself some of yoU (for you and yours). Seems that is what you are currently about and that is fine. You have earned it.

Going over a year without a profitable month would be a key indicator that you really should stop trading.

So this is blowing up your account 12 times in a row.

Whatever you start the month with, you end up losing it all, over and over and over again, month after month.

I think to be a successfull trader you need a hell lot of determination.

So when is the time to give up ? Never !

Now do not get me wrong, many peoples are never gonna make it even with the biggest determination ever, but this is the mindset needed in every great competition (trading being probably the most competitive business ever). It is a zero sum game.

If you are considering to quit after 2 years, well then I would say it is totally normal, no successfull trader on earth made it after just 2 years. But if you do quit, then trading was not for you...

The key is to play with tiny size until you build a real strategy/approach that works and is validated. Doesn’t matter if you blow some $50 or $100 accounts every month or few weeks for years figuring it out. Once you have a strategy to works, you size up and get serious.

the issue is when noobs load up all their money over and over when they have don’t have a working strategy. And the folks who do this and don’t learn to size down, are just gambling addicts.

Yes, there have been quite a few moments where I almost gave up trading because it was no longer making sense to me, but frankly going back to that, I realized it was my mistake as I was not paying attention to the trading strategy that I created which was a bit outdated. That explained why it was no longer working in my trade. Sometimes you don’t have to give up completely - just try to find the solutions, you will never know!

Actually, the problem is- most of the new comers start their trading career with a wrong trading mindset! They expected the success so easily, but after a few years when they face the reality, they just leave the market!
