Trump was always a better human and better leader. These days the more you can tell lies, hide the truth and not say the tough things, you are loved. Trump would stick it to your face and before the count of 10 you knew if you were wrong or right. He had his own issues but I loved his leadership style. I wish I had 1/10 of the guts and balls he had.

USD JPY


USDJPY has breached 150 for the first time in 32 years.
BOJ intervention at a boiling point ? The BoJ had intervened before (approx $18 billion) and the government doesn’t always announce intervention.

US10Y rising at the same time.
This is not speculation but sound trading on (rate) fundamentals.
Let's see of MoF/BoJ dare to risk another intervention fiasco when Japan opens.

FX intervention will not stop JPY from falling.
What will stop the JPY from weakening is a change in the Bank of Japan's monetary policy or a change in all other G10 central banks.
If BOJ ditch the YCC next week there will be wrecking


USDJPY now is lingering at 150 level.
Lot of option strikes at the level, which have another week or so to roll off, so we’d expect the level to be “noisy” but once we break it we should see a swift rally.

Without YCC, we may see 177-180 no matter intervention.

Good or bad leader, it really doesn't matter much to investing. As long as there's someone there to stir up the market, generate volatility, large price swings, we can all benefit from it, multiple times over. Truss was bad leader, okay, but she unleashed that wild price swing on Sterling, never seen before in history. May be other than Brexit and Black Wednesday.

Other than that, we return to central bankers for their monetary policy actions. Let's say, BOE raises by 100 bps next MPC meeting, that may generate some volatility.

, BOJ can make something tommorow, the price already touch daily channel... Maybe could be good idea watching before 2 -1 hour before close Tokyo session, usually they manipulate price before close... or they will not do anything and will be something like 155
