This article seems to say that the markets like the new chancellor so if he says the right things, the GBP might rally for a while. I can't enter a trade based on that, but perhaps I will get a chance later

On that TF, you're more likely going to see some down movement now. But, unless a non-"normal" move ensues, it will just be a pullback to a larger TF that is going up.

its all speculation at this point but my intuition says the Chancelor is going to stabilize the budget by cutting 15% across the board and the markets will be pleased so GBP will rise.
Could be wrong ofcourse.

If the pound is to fall , the usindex must overcome R or R1
otherwise I see no reason short GBP

Having broken past the 140 yen to dollar, level many see 145 and 155 as the next support levels according to a recent Reuters poll.

Japan's central bank, the BOJ, spent $19,000,000,000 last month to stop the sharp decline in the Yen. It has already moved well above the levels where the intervention was made, meaning the BOJ wasted $19B.
Wait for another one coming soon.
