Isn't that because of the shitty weather and no sun? I'm sure with their conditions in a southern parallel they would be happier. And a southern parallel country in their place would be poor and suicidal.

I worked in Norway for many year's but that doesn't make any difference, your original question was about the economy and high tax, but you have gone onto a completely different subject talking about happiness, alcoholism and suicide, maybe you need to re write your question...
