Do remind me. I will comment on this post tomorrow. Hedging is an invaluable weapon in the trader's arsenal Only backfires when you leave it in between. If executed properly you can win using this weapon alone.

Hi Pat I hedge on a point where there is a potential trend line . S/r zone and I use my 5 min ema rule to try and find a guidance as to hopefully get into or stay in a potential winning trade . Hope that is of so help . But that’s only my way some might have another plan . Regards E

To hedge you put a delayed order in at market for at least as many lots as you have. Example if the price moves in the opposite direction 100 points, you place the opposite order in at market.
The original order 1 lot as a buy.
The delayed order is a sell stop for 1 lot as well. Your loss should be capped at 100 points and as each moves in the same direction, the loss in one offsets the gain in the other. The trick is timing when you get out. You can potentially make money getting out at the right time!

MN - GU Chart - price has big room to go down to the mid of the wick i,.e., Rejection block, will build the scenario in next chart of weekly

Weekly - GU Chart: Price has taken out prev weeks high and tap in to the order block and i was short here i.e., yesterday and day before when it taps.

Why would a 'terrible' NFP jobs report push the case for 50bps? This is what the Fed has been aggressively trying to achieve. Lower wages will reduce inflation. It's a stupid idea, but that is what is happening!

...this site has revised it's NFP forecast down a bit to +248k from +265k prior to Jolts and initial claims today. Other's have done the same. Is the month we get the weak jobs number in the U.s? So far the jobs market growth there, re the headline number at least, has been strong and generally out-performed expectations.

Meantime, another leg down since my own trading session finished. Similar pip range so far today as y/day with 271pips traveled against y/day's 269 and a similar 149% of 30day adr. looking like today's dly will close bearish unless something happens in the last few hours before the close.
Next fib to the downside is 1093, with Dly S2 @ 1081.

To help with this I use the MQLTA one click trade pro. It allows you to place any type of order with stop losses and take profit a number of points from the settlement price. You can also setup delayed orders and edit live orders as well. Saves the math of doing it yourself.

This morning i took a long trade at Daily Pivot,, sl was hit and went short below DP.
It worked out pretty well
Target for me was 1.1130 for short.
Long since 1.1140

What i have in mind is GU confirmed a rejection of an old support now resistance zone . (weekly chart below)
I used the term SRF.
As I see tt's resuming its downtrend and now is a good time to open a short position in any pull back.
Is going to take a few weeks to get to the TP zone, just hold it.

I did a shitty work for NFPs (which I think cannot be forecasted tbh, it's a random generated number)
BUT if you check unemployment benefits (thru the daily treasury statement) and run a simple regression you can get a decent estimate for the NFP number with that said.. removing the spike of the end of the month (I think is because of florida) ->
I have 152564 as estimate, for a -179k change with respect to previous month.
if true-> MASSIVE RALLY

That is,until the CPI.
Please note that NFP have been a random number generator since COVID.
It does seem like a weak print is coming, though.
