We did spoke a bit on Ian in this thread (with sbmortimer). Was concern on a trader from Florida who are caught in the Hurricane. (Few pages back.)

BTW, I'm thinking of those who have been devastated by Hurricane Ian and for those still in its path, please take care of yourselves, hold your family and pets tight and just know that all of us here are thinking and praying for you....

I’ve seen photos, the heart wrenching damage on the news. I can’t imagine the loss and rebuilding of homes.

Saw President Biden has arrived in Florida, where he will survey damage from Hurricane Ian and meet with local officials about the recovery process. I'm not sure how much Federal will spend to help those are displace by Ian.
And hope POTUS remember that, thoughts and prayers are a nice gesture from him and Jill, but showing up with resources and funding is better. They better help the people.

Keeping all my friends over in Florida very firmly my thoughts as they face Hurricane Ian.

This 4H candle told nothing to me unfortunately since it closed ABOVE yellow but BELOW gray line. Nothing until tommorow fellas.. or perhaps we'll get some clue in Asian session. Will update as soon as I get some clearer picture!

I live in Florida but thankfully we only had heavy rain. No flooding and no wind damage, and we never lost power.
We were very lucky. But, hurricane season isn't over yet.

I can see broken levels being retested.
Lower high and lower lows continue.
I can see an indecision pattern forming on the 2xweekly candles, before a new Low being formed.
Daily close below 1220 will probably confirm a bearish view

We've all been programmed since childhood to think a certain way, depending on our environment, parent(s), gender, socio-economic status, education, culture, siblings, friends, etc.

That neural programming created internal boundaries, limitations.
In other words we have a mental "fence" of sorts.
Each time we go beyond our mental fence, alarms and bells start blaring.
For example, you make $4,500 on a maxed out trade in one minute.
Internally: "you're making too much money! you're not supposed to have all this money! you're taking too many risks! it only took you 1 minute to make how much!!! you can't do that!!"

In other words, "MOTY GET BACK INSIDE THIS FENCE WHERE YOU BELONG!!"
Then you do something stupid, usually subconsciously, lose your $4,500 and get back into your comfort zone, back inside the fence so the alarms stop.

All these folks challenging you now in this thread??
That's the external alarm going off: what are you crazy!!! you can't do that!!! etc., etc.
Actually, they can't do it.

In order to get outside the fence and stay outside the fence, you must first understand that the fence exists.
Then you must consciously realize that you have chosen this course, that you fully understand the risks involved (no self-delusions), you have taken responsibility for the results and in fact you deserve the consequences (good or bad, just focus on good).
In other words, walk to the fence, open the gate, and set yourself free from years of negative programming.

Because we're talking in the context of trading, you must get to the point where you realize you planned for this money, you executed your plan and you EXPECT to receive your just desserts.
Thus you are entitled to the results.
Period.
It's called "self-talk"; be careful what you say and think about because that's what you will get.

When I dropped $25,000 in one trade last year, you didn't hear me cryin, poking, trolling and blaming others.
I understand and accept the risk, I accept the responsibility.
I just stayed in the present, forgot about that trade, went on to the next and got my money back.

Admittedly, this is not for everyone: not many are called Moty, but few, only a precious few are chosen.
So if you heard this calling you, do it because it's right for you, NOT BECAUSE MM DOES IT or BECAUSE MM SAID SO, but because you believe it's right for you.

Fear not; only believe.

I was telling myself I must be cursed since all of the trades went down the toilet for me lately. However, today when I got that signal to short Pound vs Yen I did it! What's funny is that I really trusted this plan and was having good thoughts about it this time. What you think is what you get, it's scary but it's true. I also noticed how my thoughts started to change a little bit. For example, I'm not mad if the trade fails anymore.. Actually I just look forward to it as even bigger opportunity later! Same with GBP/JPY now, I don't mind the price going up, because this means I'll have even better opportunity later. The way you think changes everything.
About that fence, so damn true. We know it exists, but many deny it. Getting out is new and new is hard. New makes your heart race. Makes you actually feel alive finally.. In the end, to live is to experience.

Comparing my charts posted just 1.5 hours ago to now, my Go Markets broker just deleted the last two 4hr candles from yesterdays US session from my chart

I see they also manipulated the body and closing price of the 4hour candle before that, so that instead of showing it closed below the 1.1350 support, it now shows as closing above it

Years ago, I used to have problems with Go Markets manipulating prices, but they have been fairly good until very recently. Seems they are back to their old tricks.

Dude, what the hell is this shit? Leave these idio** as soon as you can! These 2 4H candles made +100 pips move! These 2 candles have probably got many people out of trade and as far as I can see they opened and closed at the exact pip.. The thing about this PARTICULAR pattern these two candles form, well you'll find them at resistance and support levels! This pattern may very well be the dirty play they are pulling sometimes. My broker isn't, but your definitely is. That's why when you are looking at the charts from traders who are trading for a longer time, they'll just ignore these 2 candles when putting levels on resistance or support, although on their charts it is usually on 15M and not 4H for God's sake.. people can miss two 15M perhaps, but not 2 4H candles... no words!

This is basically collecting SL's down and up!! THIS IS PATHETIC!!!!!
Oh...if they did this to me.. first I would try to reach them and say some nice words, after that I'd made sure the whole Forex community finds out about this!
Man, this pissed me off.. I was in a good mood you know..

As if Forex isn't hard already and then you also have this scum scamming people around.
Fake tops and bottoms, anyway Robinhood has a master's degree at this stuff so we'll wait for his opinion.
