Yes this was also the case when Japan made the intervention. They were selling dollar so dollar got a thick.

But I think what today happened is more relief that US economy is also weakening. And that there is an ending coming to the increase in interest rates. So they let the dollar go.

Here we go again. Even i have no idea what i am doing at least GBP/USD is moving instead of you having to wait hours until you see a 10 Pips price extension.

From a fiscal perspective the pound’s gain is short term as there is only so much BoE can do. Hopefully see 106-107 again
