DislikedI think my account is getting watched. Whenever I trade in demo, it's going well. When I go live, it goes haywire.Ignored

Disliked{quote} So far my own TA favors me for more than 70% (personal opinion) but I tend to get stopped out before moving into the direction as I expect.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Might have been early, for scalping I look at the 5 min and 1 min stochastics, they have to be telling you the same things. When I am looking at a US$ pair I also check the USDX charts to make sure it is telling me the opposite.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Can I offer a suggestion to you? There are more experienced and better traders than me here, but when I enter a trade I am reasonably sure that it will work, but even so, I place my SL a long way from the entry. Sometimes 30-50 pips away. I won't let that SL get eaten (unless a sudden spike does it), I will exit the trade when I see that I got it wrong. 15-20 pip SL is too close and is likely to get eaten in the volatility. If my big SL does get eaten by a sudden spike, I won't like it, but the account won't have damage that I can't recover...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I place my SL a long way from the entry. Sometimes 30-50 pips away. I often place it even further away! It is really just for unexpected emergencies. I typically put 1-5% of my account balance at risk, based on 30% of my accumulated profits. We know that stop hunting spikes can take out stops placed near swing bars without this being a direction change. So by placing the stop far away and simply monitoring the trade when approaching the swing area gives the ability to decide whether to exit or stay in (and possibly add on as the continuation...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I have kind of the same doubt. Yesterday , my broker's platform was very unstable, server's down freeze many times, and then they ate me about $400 forced closed, last Friday's already been $400 , now totally $800 hardworking money are gone. Very upset about this. Very Tricky!! I'll try to change my way to avoid tricky hunting.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes! I also, (and this is just me being weird I think) find that the first trade of the week is a very important trade. I do not want to lose any of last weeks profit if possible. So I try to make a good job of the first trade, and yesterday is was +82, so I have 82 pips to play with for the next trade. Of course I would not let a trade run that much against me, but I could, and it wouldn't hurt last weeks profit. If I am lucky enough to make +18 today, then I have 100 pips (of the market money) to play with for the next trade.....and on...Ignored
