Agreed. Most of the time we're either too leveraged, way too early or simply wrong. Being patient and keeping the positions small = the market will do what it will do and I will be at peace.

I think a mistake a lot of traders make in market conditions like the last few days is that they don't adjust their stop size to accommodate the increased volatility as demonstrated by the increased ranges and spread widening. I don't mean increase your risk, I mean lower your typical lot size to accommodate a bigger stop. I did reduced it but damn the spreads and the volatility range moves damn aggressively and tend to take me out.
I even adjusted to a 15-20 pips SL.

Can I offer a suggestion to you? There are more experienced and better traders than me here, but when I enter a trade I am reasonably sure that it will work, but even so, I place my SL a long way from the entry. Sometimes 30-50 pips away. I won't let that SL get eaten (unless a sudden spike does it), I will exit the trade when I see that I got it wrong. 15-20 pip SL is too close and is likely to get eaten in the volatility. If my big SL does get eaten by a sudden spike, I won't like it, but the account won't have damage that I can't recover from in a few good trades. Just my thoughts.

I understand where you're coming from but scalping can't afford huge SL though. In the long run it's not good
I'll go back to demo and refine my entries.
