I should be lucky to see this historical drop as a newbie trader. Only go through something can really learn the lessons. Now I know it's so important to protect my trades.

Something confuse me, it's also possible that it might take more time to getting close to the new low or new high area again. After all, it's a dramatic move. The market maybe needs time to move the range.

Even it's an apparent downtrend, I still have doubt on it. Because now everyone knows it's downtrend, then the market will find its way to balance the momentum.

I check the historcal huge drops (day chart) to see if there're similiar movement patterns. GU on March 2020 a little looks like last Friday's drop.

it dropped 400 pips and closed at its low,
shaven has 2 meanings, in that case, you should expect it to carry on
very long wicks for the chart are a very high probability reversal

As always digs, u are right!..I dont know how i do it..I always find (twice now lol) the market going into an extreme and i lose the plot..the funny thing is i actually saw this coming and was trading it (it did not occur to me the market would use a war to make it happen, this at least is what i was thinking). Remember the bank bought them cheap now they are selling them high for a bundle.

With volatility it is difficult to follow what it is doing and so you have to have that strong edge and intuition which comes from knowledge of that specific instrument you are trading. Then you can rightly predict what that asset will do.
The market has widely assumed the economic stimulation plan for the U.K. will lead to big inflation because the means of that plan were not fleshed out yet. When these things become clear or the government back tracks we will see a correction on Sterling to the upside. This will also come in tandem with some relief from the selling of the broader equity market because GBP is a risk-on currency.

Parity, how about the British peso!
