I'm out, closed my 3 longs at around 25 pips. (My spread suddenly widens from 1.4 pips to 4 pips indicating a sharp move was coming)
Don't wanna go more as a scalper, gotta keep myself with the plan and discipline.

Will be back in an hour. Gonna take a break from the news trade.

I think there will be no more trades for me today. I have an early start tomorrow (and an early finish), so I will wait a little long just to watch. I have +180 from this session, so I am happy with that. I will go to my bed smiling

One, because before the official release. Market is already moving upwards with the forecast of 2.25%
Two, usually when the data is the same as forecast. It's either not much movements or disappointments because it is as forecasted.

I'm not expert in news trading so that's my opinion.

BOE took at the split. 9 officials. 5 voted for 50bps. 3 for 75bps & 1 for 25bps. Sums up UK economic risks in a nutshell... nobody knows what the right policy response is.
Previously it was 9-0-0

UK inflation about to hit mid double digits and as a decisive response the BoE raised rates by 50 bp to a whopping 2.25%…
like using a tiny bucket to scoop water out of a sinking ship

Markets had been expecting a 0.75 percentage point increase in interest rates and reacted to the BoE announcement by sending the pound sharply lower against the dollar.
0.75% increase was the minimum required to protect the £.

Trying to get some feedback so feel free to comment.

I'm using 8,3,3 stocs (confluence) + PA for entry.
21,3,3 & 50,3,3 for trend following.

As long as 50,3,3 doesn't cross strongly into 50 line then the trend shall continue.

While 8,3,3 & 21,3,3 allows me to scalp the retracements.

Oh current timeframe is 1min, works on 5 min and 15 min as well.

What do you think?

VPA: Higher Volume (32.2k>31.9k) should come with Wider spread/candle body (but 79 pips<156pips) = anomalies.
However, the 2hr candle will close and is a large red candle. Its momentum might push through the zone and then retrace. Or trend down continued.
