We are in a double digit inflation

Raising in interest rate, consensus or not, means the BOE expects inflation to continue. GU goes down to slowdown purchases and slowdown inflation in the near future.

GU can go down, but not too much else, everything imported will be too expensive, including energy. UK buys from Norway. It's winter, UK needs heat.

And because BOJ intervened, BOE most likely will do the same if it falls too low.

The chart is crowded, I know because I like noisy charts. noisy but meaningful... I plan to hold the trade until 1.1400 & 1.14500. Stop was also moved to 1.1267

So what the shit happened for the past 4 hours I was away?
GU skyrocket as expected after the Frankfurt push.
For UJ intervention was expected but not this early as I expects it to be.

Shit I missed so many opportunities.

Also, I need some input and opinions from you guys who have been trading longer than me (that's for sure).

From the past 4 months that I've been trading, I notice thay the Frankfurt session tends to push prices to a certain zones before London session takes over and reverse it.

Need your two cents.

Boe is historically the least interventionist of the major central banks...but anything is possible, even if it's not probable.

High interest rates make the currency go up.
Savers put money in bank (takes currency out of circulation)
Other counties buy the currency, so they can get the interest rate

The USA have been increasing which intern weakens other currency.

Other countries are now putting policies in place to stop their currencies getting weaker
