The really dumb part of this raising rates to curb inflation has to do with what people are expected to achieve.
Inflation is what it is because of the liquidity that was added to the market during covid lock-downs. Now the fed wants to control wages, production costs, production efficiency, imports and exports to manage inflation. There is a gap, the things that the fed wants to control didn't cause the inflation.
If gets 'better'! The fed wants to control wages but wages are regulated by states in many cases and not by the businesses. Just a few of the many discrepancies.
