Yup, with that technique, we risk less $ with the same amount of positions if we were to open it all at the same price and we will have many entries at a much better price.

What will happen if the next big sharks in the next session decide to eat the previous one?
The big guys in the prior session will already hedge their position.
Either way, they won’t lose since it is us retail traders paying them, since we will be trapped in losing position of the Prior session big guys with our stop losses while they will be heavily hedged.
This explains the stop loss hunter theory.

The double backing is supposedly:
Mr X longed 1lot at 1.0000 GU.
The market moves against him, now prevailing at 0.9950, and expecting to drop further.
At 50 pips below he’s original entry, He shorted 2lots to cover the required margin for his losing trades with risking his own capital. (Profit on hedge will at least cover the lose on original)
After defining a solid reversal point to the uptrend, my man cuts his 2lots short, open a 2lot longs (with which now the profit from the much lower longs will offset the floating loss opened at 1.0000)

So as you mentioned, the key is to define where the actual reversal point is. If the trader screw this step, he knew he f*cked up, cause now he will stuck with 2 losing positions with 3lots where ~50 pips below his supposed to be reversal points will lie his hedged of 4lots position

The difference is either hedging gain/lose as shown in many balance sheets of financial corporations.

As you saw i am in an open discussion with my teacher PAT.
How i pinpoint the reversal possible area for my entry and exit setup, i learned this at least 3 months ago, since then i grew my account more than tenfold.
If You want to learn it also, learn it right from the guy who was the hand of God, PAT.
Go in his learning thread which he created for newbie like us and is way underrated, you will learn lots of applied stuffs there and not some bookish sh*ts which instructed you what you need to do but not HOW you need to do it!

Also, you need a good knowledge of Price action and Price pattern, not chart pattern, you will be good!

For me only Support & Resistance is the only primitive tools I use for trading.

Back to your question.
One of the first things I tell other traders is this: determine what type of trader you are.

Do you want to take 1 trade per week? 5 trades per day? or somewhere in between?
Next, since there are lots of ways to skin this cat, classify your different types of trades.
There are set-ups where you can expect 300 pips, and set ups where you should expect 30 pips. Know what you're looking at and recognize it.

I'll take 3 to 5 smaller trades per week, and 1 larger trade whenever they come around (about 1 a week for me).
It's perfectly natural to mix different types of trades, and I strongly recommend it.

Don't get stuck with one styles for different market condition.
