Expected rate hike from ECB has been set to 75bps. This should boost Euro in the short term this week before the rate hike actually takes place. Bad news for USD which we witnessed on Friday should also help Euro to appreciate in the short term.

I spoke to some of the Americans and from what they say, there isn't much trust in the Fed and the pressure from rate hikes is definitely felt the most by the people that are not earning enough of course, but also by the middle class people. All in all, even though energy prices in America aren't as bad as in Europe, they have stated that they are pretty aware we are about to witness very hard times ahead of us. As was said, the level of confidence in Fed is dropping.

Last Non-Farm data we witnessed, much of this number were just people getting another job (working two jobs) or getting called back to their job once they lost it in Covid time.

Also wages should have risen, not fall as most of us experienced in the Europe for example, as a government's response to rising inflation.

Nord Stream problem will be resolved.

I think by the year's end, much attention will be given to JPY which in my opinion could end up being THE currency in the 2023.

It is the US trying to 'punish' Russia and instead punishing Europe for a war that the US started by funding Ukraine and encouraging them to antagonize Russia for over 20 years now!
