IDK, 1.2280 seems like a strong resistance, plus Daily chart is close to a revisit to the 20MA same as DXY. I´m not talking long term.

Holding short 1.2271 and another sell limit @ 1.2320 target currently at 1.2070

#1 USD used as a global risk barometer

#2 During a global event, market tend to anticipate how the event will affect USD (positively or negatively); then USD against other currency
If the geopolitical issue looked problematic, USD tends to weaken especially against safe-haven currency (JPY).

#3 Election in an individual country, tend to have a subsequent effect after the election (based on what the political party promised, for eg change in legislative like Tax Cut)

Last but not the least

#4 Geopolitical issues in relation to other prevailing Economic fundamentals.
Suppose that the US economic outlook seems weak/hawkish FED governors becomes dovish - USD selloff=> USD weakened.
Concurrently, a blast in Libya Oil Refinery occurred on the same day. Oil price surged, Another reason for USD selloff.
This further weakened USD.

In contrast, if US economic outlook looked strong/ FED becomes more Hawkish- we can see USD Surged.
While in the same day, a blast in Libya Oil Refinery occurred, Oil Price surged.
In such a case, however, we can see BOTH USD and OIL price surged.

Experienced Traders, if there's something wrong or a statement wrongly written, please do let me know, with the correct fundamental analysis. I'll change them.
