sideways is one way to interpret the market yes, but there are other ways to interpret it too which are still technically right.

on a slightly shorter term trend on h4, the market is in a downtrend. and is totally tradeable, especially if you were to burrow down to h1 to fine tune the entry.

the double top, is technically also a lower high as the high of the second top swing does not reach the high of the first top swing.

I myself do not use indicators to determine the trend. every one that i've tried is flawed in some way and will at times mislead you if you take it at face value

There are still yet MORE ways to interpret and trade that market because as there is no close above the higher high it has technically not been taken out and since price has not closed below the confirmed lower high then this too is technically still valid.

it was much easier during those good old days when we have only the line chart to trade,

85 pips profit in GBP/JPY thanks to TMS. It was stressfree and I enjoyed trading more compared to a naked chart.

Honestly on the 5 method you don't really need any indicators because the simple entry rules are so basic and clear cut. If I were to pick two it would be the tdi & stochs.

I almost always have the tdi & stoch on all my charts regardless of the method being used.

However, it's not necessary on the 5 method for me. It gives people more confidence when they have it on their charts it seems.... and it's a good confirmation to the current PA and possible trade.

You can trade the 5 method without the TDI if it's a problem...

PA is HA Candles, PA crosses the yellow line and closes... enter on the next candle if it's the same color. When candles flatten out... exit. Stay in the trade as long as it doesn't cross back over the yellow line and close.

The TDI just gives me a lot more information for making my entries & exits decisions.

2scoops asked me a long time ago what would be the most beneficial to learning this method for higher success... The answer was simple... study old charts for set ups... now strip down everything on that chart at that point... trends, angles, S/R levels, News times, Stoch angle within the 20-80 lines..etc. Burn it into your memory... I spent 2 years doing that.... so what does that mean?

It takes me 15 seconds to strip a chart down to nothing including the TDI & Stoch's. Taking clean trades is a breeze for me... why?

I can take you to water but I can't make you drink... follow the simple entry & exit rules. Forget other indicators. I went down those roads so you wouldn't have too...

If you have the trading skills and the discpline,

you follow eelfranz' Post#1 and trade the 4hr at EST 1am and 5am (PDT 10pm and 2am) you will get some good trades every day and make $500 to $1000 per day.

I hate trading 5min-15min-30min charts. Why? You have to monitor each trade from beginning to end and hope and pray you made a correct entry. I only trade 1hr charts during the the 1st 3 hours of the USA OPEN and 4hr trades at night. I check for set ups at 10pm Pacific,2am and close all 4 hour trades by 6am Pacific.... You ever woke in the morning popping on your puter and find you made 150 pips while you slept... guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a skip in your step.

The money I put into my last trading account ($10,000) I don't even think about it. It's like the money you take to Las Vegas. You hope to win but don't often... Your taking money for entertainment and relaxation... So I don't give it a second thought... It's entertainment money as I said... Besides It always grows larger...

I started trading full lots last year... tiring of $1 a pip. Takes the same amount of work... why not get paid for it? Often shooting for $500-$1,000 PER EVENING.

iT'S NOT UNCOMMON TO FIND 3-6 TRADE SET UPS PER EVENING.

Sometimes I would set the TP to 20 pips. 3-6 pairs hitting 20 pips... a few losers maybe... made for a handsome profit.
