USD/JPY.
jpy's strength peaked on friday and usd/jpy continued to fall. the usd has a multi-day bullish divergence. I think it is true that the interest rate hike on Wednesday will activate the bulls.
now I think we are in a buying zone.
this is just my own view.

I can only see a further range up.
large moving average coming down in the space and the market will be out of steam after another range.

Yes but I wouldnt be surprised to see it go south first of all, just to take out all those S/L. May be work out what your % of S/L's are compared to your gains over the last week or two??

what SL% are you talking about. SL should always be situational. there is no average because it leads to disaster.
don't forget that the GBP is the only currency that can compete with the strong USD.
that's why I'm rather long USD/JPY right now, counting on next week's events.

Hi Guys,
Exactly 2 weeks ago I was referring to 1.19500 being crux for a further breakdown below and I was sweating with my buy trades, low and behold it ended up going down 190 pips, I was fortunate to get out with minimal losses. Here we are again above 1.2000. We are exactly at the weekly open of two weeks ago (refer yellow highlight on the chart) at 1.20074 ish. We are back above 1.20000 for the week which I was hoping for and back above 1.19500. If that is random, I do not know. What perhaps seems random on the smaller t/frame becomes a clear picture on the higher time frame.
I do see a pull back towards my future weekly pivot at 1.19551 ish (magenta line) and a possible rejection for further upside, however the big but. If we break down below 1.19500 again we are clearly into some serious bear intentions and that towards month end and the 1st month of the 3rd quarter?. I just don't know, I stack the odds more for upside.

The whole world has confused retail traders to make analysis everyday.

Our analysis most of times go wrong. And unfortunately we stick to our own analysis and never get out of loosing trades.

Instead, My own....for sometime now has been to.....see the chart and trade. Purely based on PA.

A five minute signal ( momentum ) first, then the hourly/30 min candle develops.

Go in that direction.

Or a 15 min signal ( momentum ) first, then hourly/4 hr candle develops.

This has been good strategy.

Having said that, I see a 15 min signal ( momentum ) to down.

If I see hourly candle develops bearish, then I will take short. Then, for confirmation 4hr candle needs to develop.

There are times the momentum fails, means hourly and 4 he candle do not develop.

No issues, I will not be taking a trade.

I see a very similar pattern playing out on Sunday/ Monday as Wavegarrick describes. Limited upside on the opening bell, followed by a long drawn out retracement to flush out buyers. Then a strong movement upwards on Monday.

I think you have it in a nutshell.

Forget analysis and just run with price action as it happens. I prefer the M1 / M30 combo but add Futures data to show me the when the market orders are confirming momentum direction with increasing volume. No lines, just get them all to agree and trade large for small scalps.

Zero analysis is essential because that wasted time is better spend with your family.

This is m1/m30 combo.

First m1 momentum signal ( Buy arrow ) at 1976.

5 min candle develops at 1976.

15 min candle develops at 1983.

30 min candle develops around 1985/1890.

That a is BUY !

Until now the price moved up to 2005.

Potential profit of 15 pips.
