Hi - i'm playing around with the same strat as per this thread but using the hrly TF for setups instead. Daily/weekly too slow for me.

Great trading method, beautiful. But I'm not one to encourage bottle feeds so in using this method pay strict attention to the daily close price if you feel the need for more trades-other than that it is a method that can generate some very nice profits.
One could also add engulfing patterns coming off the 8ema in the direction of the trend.
Then the inside bar can be added to the method.
All up its great- don't buy into resistance or sell into support- and don't over trade.
I have used a very similar method over the past number of years and back testing this one looks a whole lot better.

I'm revisiting my old Swing Trade system thread.
I have back-tested multiple pairs in the last few days and it is indeed a very profitable system of entry.

Admittedly these results are the MAXimum possible, and they don't take into account the swap fees which can be significant with trades that are open for months on end.
More back-testing results coming.

A very high win rate... taking Profit at +2% is very doable and very profitable.
Just set SL and TP and forget.

Back-testing many pairs has revealed the following trade results...
Rules are...
Winner... +3% profit at least - i.e. if stop-loss is 80 pips and take-profit is at least 240 pips = +3% profit.
Loser... any entry that did NOT make a 3% profit at least (many obviously were still winners but by less than 3%).

Testing period... Jan 1st 2020 through to now... 2 years and 5 months.

EURUSD... 8 trades - 3 wins (of over 3% profit increase) - 5 losses (stopped out with less than 3% profit at best).
EURJPY... 10-6-4
USDCAD... 11-8-3
AUDUSD... 10-5-5
AUDJPY... 12-6-6
AUDCAD... 15-5-10
AUDCHF... 8-5-3
CADJPY... 12-1-11
GBPUSD... 9-5-4
GBPJPY... 7-1-6
GBPAUD... 12-6-6
GBPCAD... 9-2-7

123 trades for 53 wins of at least 3%.
123 trades for 46 wins of at least 4%.

This is my view of AU

Ive been watching AU for 2 weeks now and it has been going SHORT for a while

On the 2hour chart it seems price has touched the support line of the previous price again

And looking at the 5min chart it has been going long since morning and im pretty much sure we in for LONG as the bigger time frames confirms
