Well, Russia may be right, but i think every country must be realistic with their expectations. What's done is done. Like Ukraine shouldn't dream of taking back Donbass and Crimea, Russia shouldn't dream of Hungary, Poland, Lithuania etc. thrown out of NATO either. It's not possible to return to the past.

This is politics, promises are made to be broken. In 90s Russia was weak, and NATO took advantage of it. Being right is not enough, being powerful is the solution.

For example as a Turkish citizen i want Turkey to have 100% control over Bosphorus Strait like before the WW1. It hurts me to see Russian submarines, warships passing the Bosphorus. That is our land and our sea rightfully. But being right is not enough on it's own. You also need to be powerful enough to make a deal better than the Montreux.

Also it saddens me to see that 20 million Azeri Turks living in Iran instead of joining Azerbaijan. But in order to do that you need to divide Iran to pieces and take the lands around Tabriz right? Is that realistic? No.

It saddens me to see other Turkic countries like Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan being satellite states of Russia. But can i get them out of CSTO? No, that's not realistic.

It saddens me to see Uygur Turks being tortured by China, but what can Turkey do? Declare war on China? No.

So the long story short; Turks, Ukrainians, Russians, Americans all have their own dreams. Very few of those dreams can come true though. So it's better to stay realistic. Every nation have their own desires, but it's not wise to chase low possibilities and risking it all.

Agree, Putin is crazy demanding such things, but it might be some trick from him.
it's just that something that's been talked about a lot lately may have some documented facts. Just from a historical point of view.

Very valuable info indeed, it enlightens the issue and gives an opinion about the concerns of Russia.

Pretty much played out how I thought it would this week. Bounced up temporarily and has now returned predominantly bearish. It appears to be done clearing topside liquidity, and a zone of imbalance rests below (light purple box). It has every reason go there and almost none to go up in the immediate timeframe, meaning next week. 1250 is the short-term target. I could be wrong.

It seems that the task is to force Ukraine to comply with the agreements (either the Minsk agreements, or what the big players agreed on behind the closed doors) --
but freezing the conflict is beneficial for Ukraine, all problems can be attributed to it, forever PR and continue to steal money.
Journalists and insiders say (I read in Telegram mostly, bc big media in RU/UA sucks) that Ukraine does not want to comply with "Minsk" ..

Ukraine is not in a position to force their demands, i think they are trying their chances too hard. Okay the West supports them but with some helmets, javelins and sanction threats that's all. US even said today that SWIFT ban is not considered, i mean wtf that's US' most useful weapon. That answer shocked me really.

So Ukraine shouldn't be trusting US too much. They didn't even give Ukraine serious weapons like tanks, aircrafts, air defence systems etc.

I mean come on UA army is not some Kurdish separatist organisation it is an actual army and giving some fancy rpgs named javelins won't be enough.

I guess it's only Turkey that gave Ukraine some serious weapons (UAVs)

Dang it looks like US already gave up on Ukraine

EURUSD is in the red, because of a not so significanrt escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, but if, the things get worser then sanctions according to the news all over the internet are going to be imposed at Russia and this story will have a bigger impact to the EURUSD currency and only if, the tensions calm down we'll be able to see if, this market wants to go up.
