Strangely enough I felt the same when I was studying in Maritime Academy. I thought why do I need all that crap like electronics, mechanics, astronomy, economics, history, drawing. I had something like 30+ different subjects. I was thinking that I’m going to be a navigation officer and a captain one day, why do I need all these unnecessary subjects? Now when I’m looking back, I’m happy I’ve got that kind of education. It gives a very good base to all your life. Any education is good no matter what you do and it doesn’t matter how old the teaching is. I was studying in Latvia in post-soviet country with some subjects still in Russian language and even it was very hard I don’t regret a bit. Grab any education while you can.
