Let's be happy GBPUSD has survived this week, and latests covid news had not to much of impact, as some of the markets had major shake off.

Traders were shaken off by oil, gas today, including myself, had to take a loss on oil trade, while had a chance to escape dry, lesson learned.

Nobodies game with this beauty !

Oil dropped 400 pips earlier today in 5-10mins and went straight up 500pips after OPEC has proposed supply increase, meaning in a few hours money was made at a huge skale...best ever commodity to trade to make money or to loose money...
Usually trading oil is not difficult as reacts to supply and demand, but a recent drop caused by the new virus, created panic sell.I hate this virus!
Russia was willing to increase oil price to 95. USA was desperate to reduce the price, even other countries reliesed their reserves.
Price of oil was jumping like a ping pong, in about a week moved from 84 to 62.
Hard to believe really, that the release of new covid data has caused this. Last Friday oil plummeted by 12% in 1 day, while biggest drop previously happenned during 12 consecutive days. There are also other reasons to this f. e overbought market, disagreements between providers...

When trading Oil is not possible to place a tight sl. When it does move, it moves at wide range from 200 to 1000 pips, and oh dear, if you on a wrong side, your loss is instant.

Just wanted to share this info with you, sorry if you were involved in this financial drama.

I studied Economics undergrad and post. My tutors were universally awful, terrible teachers but probably gifted researchers, that's what they're there for. Was a good school, too. Eventually just scrapped the lectures in last two years of undergrad and learned from the textbooks, did fine got 2:1. It's defo a useful piece of paper to have if you want any kind of normal career. Depends if you want a normal career though

Yeah most people think it is a waste of time but they still go ahead to get the education. Just like in trading, we must play scenarios in this road of life. Even if one may not use the certificate in the end, education remains a good hedge. So hedge that trade!

If i had the opportunity i would skip the uni but like you said that piece of paper is definitely useful. That's why i am forcing myself to go to school every day

school IS a waste of time, they are bullshit teachers teaching bullshit, no use to anyone, no teachers have a history as successful business entrepreneurs, graduates with diplomas coming out their ears are a dime a dozen, and useless, school is designed to make you compliant and brain dead the perfect muppet for moulding

Agreed. Everything changes in this world except the education system. It's the same for more than a century. They are there to raise employees, not entrepreneurs. School also tries to teach us every unnecessary subject and but financial education.

kiwi is in perfect megaphone, 2 HH,s 2 LL,s daily sadly patience required she stuck smack in the middle 6800 acting as present support albeit in middle of pattern so useless, worth eyeball @ psychs 79 & 77 where could trade the range or wait for BO and retest, or just wait BO etc, plenty of options with excellent r/r just not now:-(

Ignore the old books, the teachers, push yourself to pass the exams, do not drop out. This will be a huge plus to your future years, you can thank me later for saying this.

I went to a college after secondary school, then I had to do so many different qualifications, and I still studying accountancy. I regret now of my decision and that no one gave me a proper recommendation, was possible and free. Having UNI degree gives you many different oportunities in life.
Be strong and never give up. Try at least.
Trading can wait for now or can be done at your spare time.
Just an advice, of course is your decision.

It is a good earner for me. Sell 6840, buy at 68. I love it. Hoping for a break lower.

I will take this valuable advice. Thank you really. It's not trading but when i think something is boring and unnecessary i can't make myself do it Sometimes even i can't control myself. But i will try my best to finish both of my majors. It looks like i will study for one additional semester though.
