If analysed technically, there is a reason behind movement of price.

Your Brain will recognize some random line but actually doesn't know why are such patterns been created.

Understand the reason behind forming structures and have a relevant entry and exit.

Really cant advice you on trade management. ( risk management and money management)

Very much depending on your trading styles, capital exposure, % risk in open position.

No standard rules to give other on how to take the trade.

For me, on news, I minimise exposure and risk.

Some are open and willingly accepted loss in case price goes against me.

But that was part of my trading plan, accepting losses.

As far as news in general, it's either expected or unexpected.
An important announcement that comes out inline with expectations will often move less then an unimportant one that blindsides the market.
So you just never know how an announcement will play out until it hits.
