a. Yes there has been a double top this year, feb's 4242 and june's 4249.
b. I don't know re the yrly range, I think you will know more than me on this as it isn't part of my edge.
c. I don't understand the point you make about the oct'16 crash?
d. I hear what you say re the mthly LH's since June's 4249 hi .

But look at mthly chart below....you can see that if anything it is recently more bullish overall than bearish, ie starting @ 1410 we have a LL, HL, LH, HL, H, HL, then the HH @ 4249, so 3 x HL's and a HH, an uptrend per fractal swing analysis and look where it has found support - @ the prev sw hi x 2 zone on that chart = prev res = potential rbs, and this 4249-3411 might turn out to be just a pullback in that uptrend. Of course if this 3411 lo ends up fractal on this mthly t/f with close of this month's candle it will be @ a L, but a 'general' uptrend will still be present (ie changed from a classic uptrend of just HH's and HL's.) Although there is a 'technical' uptrend per that analysis, the t/f looks more rangy than anything 4376-1410? So it's overall currently more bullish than bearish within that overall multi-year range.

Market in UK is done selling dollar for the week reaching 1.3671 and now craving to buy more dollar at lower price causing cable price to surge now and if they win by touching 1.3755 let's expect to see continuous uptrend.

So basically then, they are done with selling the $, unless of course they are not - in which case they will continue selling $! Insightful!

: - you are right about the double tops so far this year, now this same double top is similar to the double top of year 2018 (1.43) before crash to 1.24 in December that same year 2018.

: - as for the October 2016 flash crash low of (1.14) it did connect to 1.43 double top of 1.43 in year 2018, just as Covid/Pandemic inspired low of (1.14) year 2020 also connects to the double top of 1.42 this year 2021 so far.

: - As for the previous 10 years, the lowest yearly range of GBPUSD is 1100 pips, which only happened once, while the most Repeated ranges were between 1400 - 1650 pips. So far this year range is 840 pips which means additional minimum of 260 pips to break either the high of 1.4249 or the low of 1.3411 by or before December 2021.

: - This current October minimum expected range as I stated in my previous post is 350 pips and so far 305 pips is already covered, which means at least 45 pips is left to break either the high of 1.3738 or the low of 1.3433.

The simple rule of forex trading as you know states that buy at the bottom and sell at the top, which means that buying from 1.37 is considered to be around the top for October and since 1.37 is closer to 1.34 and farther from 1.42, it can only mean that 1.34 is more likely to break to 1.31 area to complete its minimum yearly range.

I applied this same statistics in September and it did attain the projected fall zone area.

As usual no Analysis is perfect and I may end up being brutally wrong.
