GBPUSD price action on the daily time frame is operating within a falling wedge (blue). On September 29, price action broke below the 1.35300 horizontal support (light green) and the wedge support trendline. However, it was rather brief, as bulls effected a northward pullback into within the falling wedge (blue). Presently, price action is sideways, but bulls are still in contention. We may see a further northward move, perhaps for liquidity grab, before a southward continuation as the technical impulse on the weekly time frame favours bears more than bulls. The 1.37470/1.39000 weekly supply zone (red) is still intact. The technical impulse and order flow context favour bears more than bulls, so any bullish move in the early part of this week would be corrective in nature.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

No, disagree, but they have no choice, economy is already sinking

so inflation is the key ingredient ,the central banks are a slave to that component
its not a choice up to them and you can see at the current level, price of things go up fast

I don't think there is much more room for this pair to go up before going back down

Economics is not my area, but reading some of the information on the web made me understand the basics. You are bigger expert in this area.
Basically in past to keep inflation low EQ helped to lower the cost of borrowing. Thats because one of the ways QE works is by lowering bond yields or interest rate on UK gov bonds.
Lower interest rate on Uk gov bonds = lower interest rate on loans for individuals and businesses = bigger spending injected in the economy, therefore inflation is kept at target.
We purchased up to £895bn of bonds, meaning selling these bonds at reduced rate will boost borrowing at lower rate. We already have low rates @ 0.10%, but somehow this QE seemed to work.
To keep inflation steady bond purchase might be reduced or stopped, bonds can be sold if required.

That formula shows true picture we dont realise.

us - previous high (monthly) 8098 nov 2014 bear train to 2758 1st wave then 725.7 2nd wave

brent - previous high 8327 (daily) prior to that is 8665 oct 2018 8640 nov 2014, bear train to 5025 1st wave 1898 2nd wave

so old levels coming into play very very interesting times ahead :-)
