I guess it is against the major trend. The trendline shows we're halfway there and if AUD gets stronger then I'll go long otherwise only usd based trade is risky.

Goodmorning friends, we strive hard to give you all quality and reliable info on how the market performs daily. European traders starts on a bearishmood this morning as we expect them to sell towards 1.3745 and price staying below.1.3802-1.3795 validates our selling further when the Americans open but we see price closing above 1.3830 bullish to end the day. Same opinion here Georginson. I have closed my buy from 1822, which I was holding for more than a month in loss. I see more downtrend with inflation issues. But who knows, trade with caution.

One observation why I am bearish on gold and took a £200 loss today is gold is not reacting in opposite direction to DXY when it goes down. While DXY goes up, gold fall faster.
I may be wrong, but I am still a newbie.

It's not a perfect negative correlation

Gold been basing on daily demand for a while and reacted yesterday so I believe upside has better probability at this point, nothing is certain as you say

G/M, last trading session for me today until early October - off on hols.

Asian session dip down to an aforementioned 3 fib cluster saw the buyers emerge no doubt helped by the Uk inflation data earlier which unlike U.s y/day saw a pick-up in inflation. The pullback has reached a prev 1hr/4hr sw lo zone = prev supp = pot sbr just shy of the 38.2% of y/day's hi - today's current lo move where sellers have emerged.
