A lot of room up. {image} The question is where to find new entries. Hoping for another dip to buy. Down to 1800-10 would be perfect.

So you link an article about something that would make EU stronger as an argument about it getting weaker? What am I missing here?
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

The euro held near a one-month high versus the dollar on Thursday and a six-week peak against the pound, supported by hawkish comments from ECB policymakers after data showed inflation at a decade high

Think about it - the EU wants to stop tapering now with a 2-3% inflation rate.

Meanwhile in the USA the inflation rate is 5-6% and affecting the economy (slowing slightly) and the FED doesn't want to stop stimulus,i.e., taper?

If the NFP comes in STRONG then it pressures the FED to stop buying bonds and TAPER TANTRUM!

Conversely, if the NFP comes in very weak it would hint at a major economic slowdown in the USA. Why? Tens of thousands will be evicted in September and the US has cut off extra unemployement benefits as well. This "could" result in massive slowdowns in the service industries.

Just food for thought.

Plus I'm expecting a 10% "correction" in the equity market and when that happens safe haven currencies benefit - JPY, CHF, USD

Either way I don't expect any movement until tomorrow and even then with a US Holiday weekend the effects may be minimal. Packing up myself to leave at noon tomorrow.

That's the official rate at least. But in the UK (not EU I know), electricity and gas prices are set to rise 12% this winter. Real inflation is much higher.

The thing about taper...first, it doesn't matter how good NFP is, FED will not start tapering anytime soon, definitely not this year, it would make everything collapse over there like a house of cards. Second, even if they did, its now fully priced in by the market. I see no good outcome for the dollar at the moment...I will start shorting EU around 2250.

It is quite bullish. I think it will soon reach 1.1600 and then continue moving further north.

Not so much movement from what I was expecting, tomorrow's NFP may continue, or destroy this uptrend.

I feel these days liquidity providers are stopping supply and move against retailers and stop out them. The move is onesided and volume kept low is purely for this purpose... So blind shorting or buying seeing the price high or low can backfire..

Do retail traders really have enough money on the table for the big players to care about them?

Yesterday trading, price still headed up to uptrend, the price success break upper band line, it's mean there is increase volatility market, but today I guess many traders will focus on NFP news and before the news released, probably the price will sideways, but this not always happens, sometimes before news releases the movement already move high volatile.

Yes, I agree with you. Sometimes Market already moves days or weeks before data release and it will still price in, days or weeks after released.

Adjusted my stops tighter..
