still on asian range , so ill awaiting a little bit and see which side of LO choose ( ive choose long already ) . the price shown no mercy ( 3 Soldier M30 )

How do we trade without assumptions?
It is based on probability and previous action.
I use support and resistance, trends and patterns that continue to repeat.

So the predictive nature is to assume that will continue.
Trades are based on what is seen and the most probable outcome.

I don't always get it right, but that's where money management comes in.
I don't necessarily see it as lagging either.

Also, those that claim technical analysis is voodoo or that the market is random, we make use of TA to identfy the trade.

As a technical analyst, I don't tend to bother with too many fundamentals as they will and do appear in the charts.
I normally trade larger timeframes (H4/Daily) so news spikes are generally within an acceptable range and the trend generally continues.

Point to ponders :-

Why do we have trends if the market is so random?
Why will a support or resistance level hold for decades?

The risk is always on the FIRST Trade.

If you notice, the first trade has larger SL ( in this case 25 pips SL for both account).

Subsequent position only has 6-10 pips SL.

Rule # 1 - Never afraid to lose.
Rule # 2 - Take partial profit and don't let green creep in your head.

YOUR EMOTIONS CAN MAKE OR MAR YOUR TRADING SKILLS: -

✓ I knew price will fall and yet I bought;
Reason: You second guessed by not trusting your judgement, hence you need better plan and avoid impulsive trading.
✓ I was in profit and got out too early, gush I could have taken more. (B) I was in profit, now it has turned loss, gush I could have taken my profit off.
Reason: Your profit expectations may be unrealistic with the market conditions and you should not be too hard on yourself as no one is perfect, so move on.
✓ Market only moves against me when I trade but moves normally before I made the entry.
Reason: Your entry level was misjudged and may be you underestimated the price by buying at a high or selling at a low then mini retracement took you off guard. Wait for some confirmation and prepare your mind for any scenario, so nothing will shock you.
✓ I can build smaller funds properly but struggle to grow bigger funds.
Reason: Your emotions are playing a fast one on you as you tend to trade without fear with smaller funds but invite fear with bigger funds. Ensure your lot size is modest enough which will eradicate fear and make you see the price objectively, the higher your account grows the lower your volume size to maintain consistency.
✓ I'm having different trade signals, my first strategy says sell, the second strategy says keep buying, the third says hold, now all is conflicting.
Reason: You are vastly skilled and there is strong will to succeed which may also be your pathway to failure. Trim it down and make it as simple as possible.

That's allright to disagree with other method.

I went in too early with exposure of -25 pips ( stand to lose USD300).
There are many ways to trade, and for everyone the decision making process is different.

I trade off weakness/strength = pullbacks and rallies - in other words = price.
But the pullback- rally need to be comfirmed by a continuation pattern.
Some traders buy on pullback just to see the market going down another 200 points .
I prefer to leave some money on the table, just to make sure the market has intention to resume what it left behind.

Buy option 1 : Buys at the breaking and close above the range
Buy option 2: Buys if price retraces downwards but fails to break and close below 1.37397

Thanks Pat. Actually its sort of like a scanner and it helps me to identify key criteria (structure_patterns/candlestick_patterns/major S&R/Trend) across all 8 currencies. Then anyone (indexes) i find interesting I narrow down to the D1 and H4 TFs and focus on those pairs for the week!

Nevermind i'll post GBP/USD indexes ONLY going forward. .
