Buying and trailing is like, seting targets, you never know if and where the target is, but it's a target to reach higher and get more money. It's human nature and humans are seting targets it's something they cant get out, step by step pip by pip they will always aim for more and higher. Its good to stay away of the screen though!

I don't have targets. Setting a target could be frustrating. So, I just trail and let my trail stops act like target.

when I start a trade. I never know if I´m right or wrong while the trade isn´t closed. Same if I have my stop loss on BE, because it is possible happens news that make the market crash and make a win trade in big loss trade. Less time I´m in the market . Less chance I ´have to be caught in a crash.

I like to trail (manually) my profit, but I find it frustrating when it hits my stop too not only waiting to reach my target.

Targets can go more up or, down depending on the market condition and how a trend develops.

Trading is boring, but this is it!

I wish have average 4% profit per month that long term it will be amazing. Then my setting it is calculated about 4% per month. More numbers positive month I got more chance I will have to hit my long term goal.

I think how I feel when I have to re-enter trades that went wrong, its not boring, but I get anxious too! I like it boring.

It's a release when a trade goes your way, I have to agree.

something to consider, certainly for overnight trades but i do like to be involved when i'm in front of the screen.

what metrics/setup do you use (if you don't mind)?

I am in 24/7. There is always opportunity in every pairs. And I don't give a shit whenever I get it wrong, because I got stops to protect.

I think I addressed this very topic with a few traders here but trading can be emotionless if you have everything preplanned.

I am not trading for an emotional rollercoaster. I am trading to make large sums of $$$$$$ sitting on my ass.
Trading does that for me, because I have every mathematically possible move calculated and accounted for. Does it go as planned 100%? NO!
I use the success of my system and the failures of my system to calculate the probabilities of success. In all instances, I have a % of success and failure calculated BEFORE entering or exiting. This is my business and I treat it as a business. Yes, it is boring, but it was not always like that.
If I want a rush I'll have sex, not trade.

why not code it and go do something else? if i had such a system, i would. why be here?
